Ice Cream Cake Debate Rages

116

A recent call-in episode where ice cream cake came up continues to spark debate. (I'll also point you to an earlier post on a musical exploration of the issue.) Mary writes to say that while store bought ice cream cakes sag, a homemade ice cream cake can sing:

My husband made me the most delicious ice cream cake. It had butter pecan ice cream and German chocolate cake with homemade cream cheese frosting...He also layered the cake so that the ice cream was not too thick. The store bought ice cream cakes tend to have a thick layer of cake and a thick layer of ice cream resulting in too much of either ice cream or cake in the bite. I hope I get another cake next year that’s just as delicious.

Don't we all. Love the snazzy striped candles, too. /mark
