Where To Sit While Dining Alone

The Sporkful

Theresa from Ohio dug our recent episode with comic Todd Barry about eating alone. One issue we talked about was where to sit when dining solo -- facing the street outside, or the rest of the restaurant. Her take:

The restaurant view because I love watching the servers interact. I worked in the service industry for a long time and I love to watch all the “drama." I especially love it when my server will try to convince me the “cook dropped my food,” when in reality, she was busy smoking out back and forgot to put in my order.

I also worked various jobs in the restaurant business and though I wasn't a smoker, it didn't mean I never messed up. /mark
