Talking Granola and Granola History on NY Public Radio (AUDIO)

Listen above to my recent conversation with WNYC's Amy Eddings about all things granola. We discuss its history at the confluence of several major food innovations of the 1800's, leading me to dub it the Forrest Gump of the 19th Century. Plus I make the case for the return of the word "nutriment," draw the line between granola and trail mix, and explain the pros and cons of making it yourself.

After the interview I took Amy's 60-Second Stir Fry video challenge, a series of rapid fire questions which you can watch here.
