In this video from Slate's web series GastroLab, Dan whips up some experimental Valentine's Day recipes. On the menu: skewered chicken hearts and box 'o chocolate mole over chicken breast crusted with candy conversation hearts.

It's a tongue-in-cheek feast that comes with a serious warning for new couples:

"If you haven't had your first real argument yet," Dan cautions, "steer clear of the dishes we made here today. Because they could provoke one."
