Eleven-Year-Old Offers a Lesson in Hot Sauce Consumption (AUDIO)

Dan wants to get more into hot sauce, but he's a little tentative. He needs a guide--a personal trainer of sorts--to whip him into shape.

In Episode 152 of The Sporkful 11-year-old Nathaniel Goodyear, a president of The Sporkful Junior Eaters Society, proves he's just the man for the job. With Nathaniel's guidance, Dan tries a variety of hot sauces, including Sriracha, Cholula, and others. Nathaniel talks about how he got into hot sauce, his favorite methods for application and consumption, what to do when you go too far, and much more.

Plus a caller needs advice on how to deal with her child's precocious eating habits.

Take a listen, and remember that membership in the Junior Eaters Society is free, and all members are presidents! Just email us a photo of your young one experimenting in the kitchen or eating with gusto, or a photo or scan of artwork that demonstrates a passion for eating and/or love of The Sporkful. In return, your child will receive a signed certificate that names him/her a President of The Sporkful Junior Eaters Society.
